The Vauxhall Band brings the music and stories of eighteenth-century London to life through imaginative period-instrument performances, research and education. Since our beginnings, we have performed at renowned events, such as the London Handel Festival and Classical Vauxhall, created and produced our own concerts, expanded our education and outreach work, undertaken unique research, and recently completed our first recording project.
We are proud of what we have achieved, and have exciting plans for the future. We want to create further distinctive performances and recordings, develop new collaborations, reach wider audiences, and give more young musicians opportunities to experience performing on period instruments.
As a small charity, the projects we produce depend on us bringing together support from many different sources – from trusts and foundations and individual donors to the income we can generate ourselves. Every donation therefore makes a genuine difference to our work.
By supporting The Vauxhall Band, you enable us to build on what we have already achieved and help ensure that this music continues to be researched, performed and shared with new audiences.
What your donation can support
We are currently raising funds towards some of our upcoming projects and performances. Your donation could help us:
- Present our album launch concert, bringing the music from our debut recording to audiences in live performance.
- Cover rehearsal costs for our chamber concerts, supporting the professional preparation involved in presenting our programmes.
These are just two examples of the many costs involved in bringing our work to life. Whether you give £10, £50, £100 or more, every contribution helps us to create ambitious projects and performances and share this music with wider audiences.
